I have been using this product for years and I love it. Many people complain it is painful, and it is when you first use it but if you keep using it you will learn to adjust and won't feel the pain anymore. Just make sure you're using it on dry skin and stretch the areas around your joint so it won't get caught in the little tweezers and get pinched. I tried both wired and wireless ones and I prefer the one with the wire because the battery of the wireless one has a life that is shorter than the machine itself. I hated having to throw a perfectly good epilator because the battery stopped charging. Make sure you clean it after each use with the little brush that comes with it. Oh, and the shaver head is also awesome. An added bonus really.
I got this on a whim to use between waxing and I'll probably never wax my legs again. It is super easy to use, but it's a little loud. It is definitely worth the money for me since waxing costs almost as much as this purchase (waxing 1/2 leg here is around $35.) Since I've been waxing so long, this is not painful at all. I did try it on my underarms and it was pretty unpleasant. Mind you I'm not squeamish of this, but getting your skin used to this may take some time. Also, areas with more nerve endings will be more painful. The front of the knees are kind of tricky, I recommend a standing or outstretched position to avoid feeling like you are scraping the tops of your knees. The cord isn't super long, so you'll likely want to sit on the floor near the outlet or pull up a stool. I would 100% make this purchase again!
It works. I read a lot of reviews about it not getting all the hairs. Think a lot of people are using it like a shaver. Just running it up your skin will make it miss hairs. But I did small back and forth motions working up AGAINST THE HAIR GROWTH and it got nearly everything. Helps with the pain too. Great contraption. So much quicker and less messy than waxing. But be aware it hurts like a mo fo and is not for the faint of heart. At first I started it on the slower setting but counterintuitively it hurts less on the fast setting. Anyways, the light makes all the difference. Just keep passing in an area til you get what you came for. I get ingrown hairs super easy which is why I have shaving issues and usually wax and not a one yet with this thing. Use it correctly, bite down, have a drink and it's pretty awesome :)
I just got this, and I am so impressed with how it works! I have used a lot of epilators over the years, and this one hurts much less than any other I've used, and works much better! Usually, epilators only get about half or two-thirds of the hair, and leave the rest. And I am used to having to go over the area several times just to achieve a so-so result. But this product seemed to get about 75% of the hair on the first pass. A couple more quick passes and my skin felt silky smoothe! I'm so excited I decided to try this! This epilator is even less expensive than the one i have been using. I love it!
I have always wanted to use a product like this...the instructions are clear and easy to read. Device fits good in the hand for better control. I am testing it on a part of my leg before I will all over...I am excited to see the results. The device is painless...a little warmth. If you have sensitivity towards bright flashing light as I do because I have migraines I would recommend wearing sunglasses or other glasses to cut the glare.
